“Río Dulce”

Residency and work-in-progress presentation

Río Dulce (‘sweet river’ in Spanish) started with the wish to embody a stone that lays in a river, whose waters are constantly changing the shape of it.
Together with different performers Rita started by researching the movement quality that this embodiment creates, in conversation with Pier Paolo Pasolini’s documentary “Comizi D’Amore” in which he interviews many different people coming from different social backgrounds on Italian beaches in the 60s about sex and love.
Half way this process she started her gender transition and Río Dulce became a safe haven where to find rest and stay with the process of transforming, allowing non-human forms to teach her and guide her, to unveil the different layers of this work, related with memory and sexuality.
At this moment Rita is looking for ways to continue this research in a performative installation setting, using a 60 mq blue cobalt cloth as floor.

Mime Kitchen #1 with Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti

During our first year we started organising online events under the name of "Mime Kitchen" in which we asked several artists to let us enter their “kitchen” and have a look at their universes, at what inspires them and to their creative process.
